Title: Growth And Development of Milk Production and SC/ST Members Participation In Dairying In Mysore District

Abstract: Dairying and milk production has become a significant secondary source of income for masses of rural families and has assumed a most significant role in providing employment and income making opportunities. Dairying is one of the most important means of providing livelihood and nutritional security to the rural masses. This study mainly focuses on the growth and development of milk production, ST and SC members Participation in Dairying of Mysore District in 2010-11, and average selling of milk in Mysore district. The methods are used in this study are graphs for analysis of milk production, average selling of milk in Mysore district, and ArcGis 10.3 Software used for mapping the distribution of SC and ST members participation in dairying as classify into 3 categories i.e., Low, Moderate, and High in each taluk in 2010-11. The result shows in 2010-11 the production of milk per day was 2,00,000 Kgs. in 2018-19 the production increased to 6,00,000 kgs per day. The participation of SC and ST members in 2010-11 is 7.35 percent and 2.94 percent respectively.
